Jess is employed as a Circuit Artist at Firstsite contemporary art gallery in Colchester, Essex, essentially working on the young people’s programme for 15 – 25 year olds, delivering programmes such as Twenty Somethings in the Arts and Young Arty People. Jess also attended the Clore Emerging Leader’s course in Leamington Spa in March 2015.
Jess will be heading to India with the British Council in July and August 2015 to work as a teaching assistant.
“Being a Young Producer at BAC was incredibly good! The other Young Producers became a new community for me, and inspired me with each of our very different and unique perspectives. The staff who run the programme were incredible and made every meeting very special, as were the industry people we met such as Simon Casson from Duckie, who since being a Young Producer I have also been involved at The Posh Club, a project which Duckie runs. The amazing buzz and energy of BAC was MAGIC! Being able to see shows, meet other young people: aspiring Producers/Directors/Artists/Performers was so valuable. I was only able to participate up to January of this year, because of another project I was involved in back home in Essex, however, whilst my time as a Young Producer was short, I learned a great deal and had the BEST TIME!”
