About The Building Project

We have been working since 2007 on a phased scheme to renew and restore our home, Battersea’s Grade II*-listed Victorian former Town Hall.

In total, we plan to spend £13.3 million to complete the redevelopment, which will massively improve public and performance spaces and access across our venue, whilst at the same restoring much of the Town Hall’s heritage. You can read about our plans, and what we’ve already achieved, at our Playground Projects website.

Our blog covers a range of projects associated with our building, including the works happening right now, environmental and green activities, our physical and digital archive, and more.

Principal funding for the redevelopment comes from Arts Council England, the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Big Lottery Fund.
