Writer and performer Byron Vincent tells us more about his and Kerry Littleford’s preparations for the Scratch show Stories for Advocacy during their residency.
Kerry created an installation which allowed members of the audience to experience storytelling in a more isolated and intimate environment.
Stories were recorded and listened to through headphones whilst the audience member, when prompted, looked through some evocative personal items belonging to the author. We thought this would be a great tool for placing these stories in workplaces or any environment where there’s a quiet corner or meeting room.
The subject of these stories can be tailored to suit the setting, aiding training and understanding around site specific issues.
We’d like to thank Richard Jackson from Plume Animation for his help on this project.
